Day 5 "Kali"

A song for the goddess of time, change and destruction.

Kali , Kali, Kali…..oh the things i have to say about this song.

During the first lockdown in 2020 i was in the midst of completing a 5 song commission project. I had been asked by a client to write 5 songs, each for one of the following archetypes: The priestess, The maiden, the Lover, The warrior and Kali.

This music was to support an archetypal embodiment course or sorts. I honestly hadn’t spent much time really ever looking into archetypes until this opportunity presented itself to me so you best believe i dove head first into all the knowledge.

If you don’t know, in simple terms Archetypes are universal, inborn models of people, behaviours, and personalities that play a role in influencing human behaviour.

Sooo with that in mind, you can just imagine the depths i had to explore personally to excavate my soul and access these emotions to be able to embody each archetype and create music from that space. It was a BIGGGGG undertaking…probably to date one of the biggest.

“KALI” BY FAR was the most challenging for me…however to date it is the Commission piece i am MOST PROUD OF…
